About The Founder

Brian is a 25-year-old Entrepreneur who grew up in a small town in New Jersey. Back in 2010, Brian made the life-changing decision to become a Lifeguard, working at a public pool nearby. It only took him a couple of years to realize that this was his passion, and Brian who never shied away from anything, decided to take it to the next step: working with children.  He applied at Frogbridge Day Camp and immediately got the job! At Frogbridge he built up a reputation as a reliable and charismatic lifeguard, swim instructor, and person; the children loved him! Things were going great at work, but little did Brian know he was about to face the ultimate test of capability, skill, and character.

On June 8th, 2015, Brian was guarding a Private Picnic for 2 companies. The pool was understaffed, with way too many swimmers in the pool at once. All of a sudden, Brian was called over by a patron; yelling for help! As he rushed to the scene, he noticed a little boy, face down at the bottom of the pool. Brian’s lifesaving instincts immediately kicked in. He quickly dove into the pool and grabbed the boy, pulling him to safety. He lay the boy down on the edge of the pool, as others looked on in absolute shock and terror. The child had no pulse, wasn’t breathing, and lay there lifeless. Despite having extensive training in dire situations, nothing could prepare him for the image that was a boy lying face down in the pool.  Knowing he needed to act, Brian conquered his shock, quickly going to work: performing one rescue breath into the child after another. Patrons standing nearby prayed and encouraged Brian to save the young boy’s life. Brian then performed another rescue breath into the child’s mouth. After relentlessly aiding the boy, he finally felt a pulse. Within 5 seconds, the boy finally woke up crying, begging for his parents as he stood up. Brian had saved him. He was sent to the hospital for checking, and the boy miraculously made it out unscathed.  Brian became a local hero that day, but that didn’t matter to him. He wanted no child to ever have to go through that trauma, for no adult to ever have to stand helplessly and in dismay, looking on to their lifeless child. He wanted better organization, planning, and execution, that would prevent these events from ever happening again. It was after this horrific event that Brian launched InstaSwim, a company dedicated to properly and responsibly serving the community.

Brian’s passion and goal is to help children and adults learn how to swim and to spread knowledge about pool safety to as many people as possible. With the help of his experienced, passion-driven team, he has reached hundreds of children and adults, and is determined reach thousands more, with the goal of preventing anything like that fateful day from ever happening again.
