Every instructor on InstaSwim must pass a criminal background check, confirm their identity, complete safety and conduct training, and submit current CPR documentation before they can accept a single lesson through the platform.
What every instructor completes first
Unlike instructors found through classifieds or social media, every InstaSwim instructor completes each of these steps before they can accept a lesson through the platform.
Completed through a professional third party screening provider before an instructor can accept any lesson. Instructors who do not pass are not activated on the platform.
Every instructor confirms their identity through our third party screening provider, and the background check is run against that confirmed identity. Instructors cannot accept lessons until both are complete.
Every instructor completes InstaSwim's Safety & Conduct Training and must pass the assessment before their profile can be activated.
Every instructor submits documentation of current CPR training before activation, kept on file with their platform profile.
Every active instructor participates in InstaSwim's group liability insurance program, with commercial general liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence.
For any lesson involving a minor, instructors agree that a parent, guardian, or authorized adult must be present at all times.

Where are you located?+
InstaSwim does not operate physical swim schools or facilities. We are a scheduling and coordination platform that connects families with independent swim instructors who offer private lessons at home pools or other permitted pool locations selected by the client.
What areas do you serve?+
InstaSwim coordinates mobile swim lessons across many locations nationwide. Instructor availability varies by area. To check availability and pricing, enter your zip code on our pricing page to see whether independent instructors are available near your preferred pool location.
Can I choose the instructor?+
Instructors are not publicly listed or browsed on the platform. Instead, InstaSwim coordinates matching using an internal system based on factors such as location, availability, and preferences submitted during registration.
If your matched instructor isn't the right fit, you may request a different available instructor in your area by contacting support@instaswimusa.com.
Is there a registration fee or any additional fees?+
InstaSwim charges a one-time $20 platform service fee per student. This fee is not due at registration and is added to your invoice after you confirm a start date with your instructor. There are no hidden fees — your invoice reflects your selected lesson package and applicable platform fees only.
How do I pay for my swim lessons?+
After you register and confirm a start date with your instructor, InstaSwim emails you an invoice. Payments can be made securely using a debit or credit card. If you don't receive an invoice or need assistance, contact our support team at (888) 610-2656.
Do you offer a Pay-Per-Lesson option?+
Yes. For a limited time, InstaSwim offers a single-lesson option so families can try private swim instruction before committing to a package. If you'd like to continue, you may upgrade to a multi-lesson package for discounted per-lesson pricing. Availability may vary by location.
Do you accept cash?+
No. InstaSwim does not accept cash payments. All payments are processed electronically via secure credit or debit card transactions to ensure accurate records and streamlined billing.
When will I be charged for my lesson package?+
Payment for lesson packages is due before lessons begin. Once instructor availability is coordinated and a start date is confirmed, InstaSwim emails you an invoice. Payment must be completed at least 5 days prior to the first scheduled lesson.
How do I upgrade my lesson package?+
To upgrade (for example, from 6 to 12 lessons), submit a request here: Upgrade Here. You may also contact our support team by email or phone. An updated invoice reflecting the remaining balance will be issued, and payment must be completed before additional lessons are scheduled.
Are you insured?+
InstaSwim maintains platform-level insurance coverage related to its marketplace operations. Coverage details vary and are subject to policy terms and limitations.
Independent instructors remain responsible for their own professional conduct, safety decisions, and compliance with applicable laws. Insurance coverage does not eliminate risk or replace active supervision.
How should I prepare for my swim lessons?+
To help ensure a smooth lesson experience, we recommend:
- Wear proper swim attire (swimsuit, goggles, swim cap if needed).
- Have towels and a change of clothes ready.
- Ensure the pool is clean, accessible, and ready for use at the scheduled time.
- Apply sunscreen and stay hydrated for outdoor lessons.
- For younger swimmers, a parent or guardian should remain present and attentive throughout the lesson.
- Review our Terms of Service for scheduling, cancellation, and supervision policies.

What equipment do your instructors bring?+
Independent instructors may bring basic training aids to support instruction, such as:
- Kickboards
- Diving rings
- Water toys for engagement and skill development
- Water barbells or similar resistance tools (when appropriate)
Equipment availability may vary by instructor. If you have specific requests or already own preferred equipment, coordinate directly with your instructor.
What certifications do your instructors carry?+
As part of onboarding, every independent instructor must complete a national background screening, attest to active CPR/First Aid certifications, and review and consent to our Safety & Conduct Guide to remain eligible for client matches. Certification information is self-reported and instructor-maintained. Many instructors also bring consistent, real-world teaching backgrounds to the water.
What happens if I do not like my instructor?+
If your matched instructor isn't the right fit, you may request a different instructor in your area. Contact our support team at 888-610-2656 or email support@instaswimusa.com, and we'll do our best to coordinate an alternative based on availability.
What is your swim program all about?+
InstaSwim connects families with independent swim instructors for private, mobile swim lessons tailored to individual needs and goals. The platform is designed to:

How do I know what lesson option to choose?+
Many families start with a 6-lesson package to find a good fit with their instructor, then upgrade later if desired. General guidance:

- 45-minute lessons — often recommended for two students
- 60-minute or longer — ideal for multiple students or extended practice

Do you offer a learn-to-swim guarantee?+
No. InstaSwim does not offer a learn-to-swim guarantee. Instruction outcomes vary by individual, and no lesson, instructor, or program can guarantee progress, skill mastery, or safety outcomes.
